The retiree, who chose to remain anonymous, explained that after buying the ticket, he scanned it and saw the message that every lottery player hopes for: “Go to Lottery”. Unsure of what it meant, he and his wife took the ticket home for a closer look.
Some of the numbers were hard to read, and the couple wasn’t certain if they had actually won the progressive jackpot. But then everything changed. While browsing online, they saw a news alert announcing a winning FAST PLAY ticket worth over $2 million was sold at Mutt’s Liquors, their favorite store.
“That was the liquor store where I bought the ticket. I knew it had to be it,” said the lucky winner.
