The Esports World Cup 2025 is set to make a major splash in the global esports scene. Taking place in Riyadh from July 8 to August 24, this Saudi Arabia backed mega event promises a record breaking $70 million prize pool, the largest in esports history.
Organised by the Esports World Cup Foundation (EWCF), this festival includes multiple major titles under one roof. Among the most anticipated competitions is Teamfight Tactics (TFT), now officially part of the event thanks to a multi year partnership with Riot Games.
Alongside TFT, League of Legends and VALORANT will also be featured titles, drawing top tier teams from across the globe. The event's size, scale, and funding make it one of the most significant milestones in competitive gaming.

Format, Teams, and Schedule
The TFT tournament at Esports World Cup 2025 features 16 elite teams fighting for $500,000 in prizes and crucial Club Points. These Club Points contribute to the wider EWC Club Championship, giving teams even more reason to perform.

- Group Stage: Four double elimination groups (4 teams each)
- Top 2 teams from each group advance to Playoffs
- Playoffs: Single elimination bracket
- Match format: Best of 3 (BO3), Grand Final is Best of 5 (BO5)

The Strongest Contenders
The competition at the Esports World Cup 2025 TFT tournament will feature some of the most skilled players and fan favorite teams. Six squads have already qualified through the Asian Champions League (ACL):

Also returning to the stage is Wolves Esports, the surprise champions of the 2024 tournament. However, they’ll need to prove themselves once again, having recently missed out on ACL qualification.
The final bracket will be completed by winners from the American and EMEA Closed Qualifiers (May 2 – June 1), and the Global Qualifier taking place from June 6–8.
Beyond TFT, EWC 2025 will host dozens of other titles, from shooters to sports games, each with multi million dollar prize pools and global fanfare. Here’s a taste of the scale:

- $2M prize pool: July 10–13 (40 clubs)
